My Properties hit the headlines as the lead story on Seven Sharp
They were so impressed with our fresh take on property investment groups. Unlike the well overdone, me too mentor/student models, My Properties stood out for its unique approach ─ a peer2peer group of property investors working collaboratively together to make sure they prosper as individual small business owners within a virtual workplace.
The idea is the brainchild of a couple of people who experienced first hand what it was like to be a property investing student, mentored by a guru.
Within the first couple of weeks of joining the student programme they saw an opportunity to do things differently. Coming from an IT and HR background and sharing a passion for property, Armin and Penny starting developing software so that they could keep track of all the houses they were looking at. Immediately they saw an opportunity to share market information ─ they were in a mentoring programme of around 90 other investors where information sharing was frowned upon by their mentor.
Take a look at how the My Properties members learn together from each other.
